HELLO THERE!  Welcome to my blog. My main intent for this blog is to share the ups & downs of a "senior" woman living with a chronic illness. I hope to raise awareness about chronic illnesses, chronic pain, & the process of growing older. I hope that those without health issues will still find my blog enjoyable, since I will also be posting often about my home & family life & our activities, our pets (2 dogs & 2 cats), my crocheting & craft projects, & whatever else is happening or strikes my fancy.
My husband, whom I will refer to as "Hubs" on here, & I sold our little farm in February of 1917 after 15 happy years of living a happy, peaceful country life in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. Hubs is diabetic, & takes two types of injections plus metformin pills, & still struggles with his illness & spells of extreme fatigue that the doctors can't diagnose. It was getting too hard for him to work our farm, he was spending half of the year gathering & stacking firewood & keeping our five acres of grass & brush cut & cleared, & the other half trying to keep us warm & dry, all while working almost full time at the local gas station. So we decided to pack it all in, & are very glad we did.
We now live happily with two of our daughters & son-in-law (oldest's husband) in a lovely home in a small city only about 35 miles from our old farm. Our pace is much more lively these days, with three other people in the family, all working full time, but we are all very happy, blessed & thankful to have all of us living together in our nice roomy home.          By the way, I am a Christian, so if  my talking about God doesn't agree with you you might prefer to move on to another blog, because I will be sharing about my Lord & His precious Word the Bible quite often. I honestly don't know how I & my family could survive without God's daily, even moment-by-moment blessings & care. That's enough about us for one day, so I will say goodbye for now, & may God bless you.
